We have required, and appreciated, John Hebertﾒs skills on two different occasions. Both were major projects, presented entirely different circumstances, and yet the results exceeded our expectations.
The first involved an addition to our 100 year old Victorian brick home in 1999. The purpose of the 700 square foot addition was to facilitate bringing our lovely garden into view from inside our home. The kitchen and master bedroom were also redone with the same goal in mind. John was able to work with both the architect and ourselves to ensure that from design to implementation, the process went smoothly, and the only modifications were enhancements, not problems. Mixing the old with the new could have been a challenge, but the results appear seamless. We have enjoyed the final product every day since completion.
The second project was designing and building a wooden cabin on our country property. The structure is nothing short of exquisite. It is both majestic, and quaint, and built to last centuries. This retreat allows us to enjoy our wilderness setting year round in an atmosphere of rustic luxury rarely married so well. For his accomplishment here, we are truly grateful.
Johnﾒs attention to detail is exemplary, and his choice in trades people reflects his own high standards. He is able to accomplish this with no compromise to the clientﾒs personal wishes, as he has proven to be an excellent communicator.
We know we will have future projects. We know we will ask John to build them.
